Kipaş Kağıt İşletmeleri A.Ş., part of Kipaş Holding, is one of the leading paper manufacturers in Türkiye. The company’s production facility, launched in 2014, is built on a 330,000 m² site with 100,000 m² of indoor production area. Using advanced European technologies, the plant produces testliner and fluting paper from 100% recycled waste paper, reaching an annual production capacity of 425,000 tons.

The factory employs around 500 people and plays an important role in sustainable manufacturing by preventing the loss of approximately 6,000 hectares of forest annually through recycling-based production.

Project background

As a large industrial facility with extensive production zones and open areas, Kipaş Kağıt Fabrikası required a modernized surveillance infrastructure capable of supporting advanced video analytics.

The existing CCTV system provided basic monitoring but lacked intelligent analytics and automated alerts. Additionally, blind spots and the scale of the facility made manual monitoring challenging.

The main objective was to upgrade the video surveillance system using TRASSIR software and servers while keeping the existing cameras, enabling AI-powered analytics for perimeter protection, incident detection, and proactive security management.

Solution

The project was implemented in collaboration with TRASSIR partner Secuworld Güvenlik Teknolojileri Ltd. Şti.

The deployed TRASSIR infrastructure included:

- TRASSIR VMS
- AnyIP INT licenses to integrate existing cameras
- NeuroStation 8800R/128 RAID
- NeuroStation 8800R/160-A8
- UltraStation 36/0

- TRASSIR Neuro Detector for intelligent perimeter monitoring

The system continuously analyzes video streams and generates alerts based on configurable rules. Scheduled perimeter protection allows security staff to automate monitoring without manually activating or deactivating analytics modules.

Additionally, the client plans to integrate loudspeakers and floodlights triggered by the Neuro Detector module in case of unauthorized access attempts.

To further enhance safety, TRASSIR Neuro Fire and Smoke Detector can detect smoke or flames in challenging environments such as open areas or facilities with high ceilings, notifying operators through TRASSIR Client, mobile apps, email, Telegram, or WhatsApp.

Results and impact

With the implementation of TRASSIR, Kipaş Kağıt Fabrikası significantly improved its security monitoring and incident response capabilities.

The intelligent system provides continuous automated monitoring while reducing reliance on manual oversight.
